April Newsletter

Hey Friends!

I’m learning to speak French!

Next Spring my mom (our GN admin) and I will be traveling abroad to expand our cultural horizons and realize her life-long dream of eating croissants while looking at the Eiffel Tower. I’m really just going for the pastries but helping my mom actualize her dream is a nice side dish as well, lol.

We’ve recently begun learning to speak French in preparation for next year’s travels by using a site called, Babbel and like everything I do (for better or worse), it’s a strategic path to attain the desired outcome through optimized practice. I like this site because it allows me, the student, to focus on growth through short and focused practice time. I may not be functional in the language yet, but I’m sure to be leaving the Google translate app unopened next Spring!

Music is a language as well, learned and applied through short, focused, and consistent review. At GN we aim to establish quality practice and playing habits with our students, even just 5-minutes a few times per week on a consistent basis. The GN team and I are thankful to be your “Babbel”! Onward we learn the languages of the world together!
